Greetings Everyone and Welcome to my blog!
By now you should have realized that I'm going to be spending something like 4 months meandering around Southeast Asia. I'll be shipping out of here Monday, May 7, 2007, and arriving in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on May 8. The first half of my trip will be spent touring w/ Intrepid Travel, yet another Australian tour group. I'll be backpacking through Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. I'm then doing a week of classes in Singapore, then I'll be spending another 8 weeks at an internship in Cambodia. My internship is with the Cambodia Defenders Project, http://www.cdpcambodia.org/.
I'm doing three trips w/ Intrepid:
The first is the Spirit of Vietnam Northbound (10 days).
The second is Tap into Laos (12 days).
The third trip is Malay Basix Southbound (15 days).
I'll be back in the U.S. on August 19th. While you shouldn't expect too much posting during the first half of my trip... or at least not pictures, I'll definately have things updated during my internship time. *Please note, I do not actually plan on chasing tigers, more of a reference to how S.E. Asian countries are called tigers... though there are 700 wild tigers documented in Cambodia...
